Origin of the Celts – Theory Two


This essay was supposed to talk about the second theory about the origins of the Celts.  The theory talks about how the origins of the Celts should be sought in the maritime networks of the Atlantic Zone, which reached their peak of intensity in the Late Bronze Age and then fell off sharply at the Bronze-Iron Transition (9th-7th centuries BCE).  I was going to write a full essay on this theory when I realized there was one already written for me.  So, I’m going to link to it here and hope you all enjoy it as much as I did and do.

  1. The detail in the Theory Two link looks very complicated.

    There were some far more accessable reports, centering on Brian Sykes’ research, in the national press, in 2006, such as this one:
